MBTA introduces flat screens displaying ads

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Some eye catching additions were made to a T stop.
Seventy-inch flat screens displaying digital ads appeared at the Harvard T-stop Thursday.
The Boston Globe reported the ads debuted in the stop's atrium and will be up at three other stations by March.
Officials believe the screens could bring the MBTA millions of dollars in additional revenue.
As it is, more and more people are using the T.
The Globe said ridership is on the rise, up 2.3 percent.
The number defies an earlier prediction that it would fall by 5.5 percent.
