Phyl, of Bernie and Phyl’s, reveals she has M.S.

BOSTON -- Furniture store owner Phyl Rubin, of Bernie and Phyl's, has revealed that she is fighting multiple sclerosis.

According to the Boston Globe, the couple will appear in a public service announcement starting on Wednesday to raise awareness about the disease.

Phyl first noticed symptoms back in 1971. At times she couldn't even walk, but for years she continued to work and film commercials.

In May, she will be honored by the National MS Society.
