FBI puts Bulger ad in plastic surgery newsletter

BOSTON -- The FBI has taken out a full-page ad in Plastic Surgery News magazine featuring photos of Whitey Bulger's girlfriend, Catherine Greig.
They are hoping it will bring them new leads in finding Bulger, who has been on the run for 15 years.
Boston plastic surgeon Sheldon Sevinor never fashioned himself an FBI informant, but his eyes are exactly those the bureau wants trained on the inside cover of this month's issue of the magazine.
"I thought when I first saw it...it was very bizarre," Sevinor said.
The ad features a wanted poster of Greig asking, "Have you treated this woman?"
Greig had numerous procedures done before she presumably went on the lam with Bulger.
The ad even includes the product and lot number on her breast implants.
"It does make sense there may be a plastic surgeon of the 7,000 people who get this periodical that will recognize this woman," Sevinor said.
It’s the latest twist in the international manhunt for one of the FBI's most wanted.
The South Boston gangster is wanted in connection with 19 murders.
Even if a plastic surgeon recognized the pair, it's far from certain they'd report it.
"Remember, we have to think about patient/doctor confidentiality...Most plastic surgeons, I would think, would want to get the advice of an attorney,” Sevinor said.
The last confirmed sighting of Bulger was in London in 2002.
