Police search Cape home for clues in disappearance
CENTERVILLE, Mass. -- The search for answers in the case of a missing pregnant woman from Nantucket led investigators to a home in Centerville on Thursday.
Barnstable police and state police investigators searched a house on Great Marsh Road. Sources confirmed to 7NEWS that the search is part of the investigation into the Trudie Hall’s disappearance.
Hall, 23, disappeared in Hyannis more than a week ago after she went to Barnstable for a doctor’s appointment. Investigators found blood in her rental car, which had been abandoned.
Police took an expensive motorcycle and white SUV from the home.
"I figured it had something to do with the disappearance of that woman. It's really a scary thought if it is," said Diane Longobard, a nearby resident.
The owner of the home, Quoizel Wilson, had no comment as he left the police station. Wilso spoke with investigators for hours, but officials did not say what his relation is to Hall, who was four months pregnant.
According to published reports, Wilson was indicted in 2008 for allegedly stealing more than $8,000 from fare boxes while working for the Nantucket Regional Transportation Authority. As part of a plea deal, he received a two-year suspended sentence.
Hall’s mother told 7NEWS her daughter did know Wilson, but she’s not sure how well.
"I just want to, you know, trust God that they would find her," said Vivienne Walker, Hall's mother.
Officers began their search for Hall by looking in the area near Independence Park and the woods near a commuter lot. Days later, they found Hall's rental car with blood inside.
While police are still calling it a missing person's case, they believe Hall may be dead.
Hall's mother, meanwhile, said she is holding out hope that her daughter is alive.
"Just to have her call and say, 'Mommy.' Just one word," said Walker.
Police had no comment as they continue to investigate.
