BARNSTABLE, Mass. -- Barnstable High School students and staff worked together on the stage magic known as a lip dub. Their goal was to create a music video showcasing the work of 1,000 people working together.

The Today Show did it, companies, colleges and camps too, and now a local school gave it their best shot with "Magic" by B.O.B.

At Barnstable High School, close to 1,000 students were getting ready to do a lip dub . What's that? It’s essentially a music video with a huge group all lip synching together - but there's a catch - they had to do it in one shot and one take.

“I think a student gets the opportunity to it express their love and their passion for their school,” said the principal of Barnstable High.

They had everything choreographed to the second, from sword fights to bikes and skateboard tricks. And they had every aspect of student life represented - from the math team to the school paper to the student TV station.

The whole thing wound up on the roof - but the rest of the student body was on the football field, where they were gathering for the last scene of this music video. As far as the finished product - the big reveal is on March 5th at the high school’s open house, but it'll be on YouTube as well.
