Children hurt during bus crash Sagamore Bridge

SANDWICH, Mass. (WHDH) -- Children were sent to the hospital after a bus and car crashed on the Sagamore Bridge.

The bus was returning from a field trip when a car hit the side of it as they were passing each other on the bridge Wednesday afternoon.

The Sagamore Bridge was shutdown at one point so police could investigate, but it has since reopened.

Authorities said the students from the Wing School were returning from a field trip when it happened.

Two children who were on board the bus were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The two people in the car refused treatment.
