Officials to discuss offshore wind development

BOSTON (AP) -- State and federal energy and environment officials will be hosting a day-long meeting to gather public comment on a wind energy project off Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The informational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday in New Bedford.
The event will include presentations followed by public comment on potential wind energy project development in the Rhode Island-Massachusetts Wind Energy Area, which is about 11 miles south of Martha's Vineyard and 13 miles east of Block Island.
