'Massive' drug raids launched in eastern Conn.
NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) -- Federal, state and local authorities have fanned out across southeastern Connecticut in what officials are calling a "massive" drug enforcement operation.
Authorities say agents with Immigration and Custom Enforcement's homeland security investigations division are executing numerous arrest and search warrants Wednesday morning across New London County with other federal, state and local law enforcement officials.
Federal officials are releasing few details about the raids. An announcement is expected later in the day.
U.S. attorney's office spokesman Tom Carson says all the warrants are related to narcotics trafficking.
