2 arrested for drug possession in Somerville
SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WHDH) -- Two men accused of hiding drugs in an unusual place were arrested after police raided a Somerville home.
Somerville police say they found four ounces of marijuana inside a large Simpsons arcade game while executing a search warrant.
Detectives discovered the marijuana hidden in a white container inside the arcade-style video game with the help of search dogs.
"They found marijuana and cash. But it's unfortunate, the cash is for my car. I think they were misleaded. I think the information they have is false,” said Steven Domings.
Three young men live in the house on Gilman Street in Somerville. Steven Domings, 22, and 20-year-old Cody Domings have been charged with drug possession and intent to deliver.
Their roommate, 23-year-old Joseph Baldagarri has been charged with drug possession.
According to the police report, investigators seized more than four ounces of marijuana and more than $5,000 in cash from the home.
As for the arcade game…
"Nah, I actually still got the video game. It's still running. Favorite character Bart Simpson is still whipping ass with his skateboard," said Steven Domings.
Police say based on their investigation and past history of the home, a SWAT team was used to secure the residence.
The three men were taken to the Somerville Police Department and have since been released. Their next court date is in May.
