Victim of Tewksbury road rage incident speaks out

TEWKSBURY, Mass. -- A driver is out of the hospital after what police call a violent case of road rage. That driver says he was attacked leaving work, and now police are on the hunt for a suspect.

“I got two slices right across the top of my head, three in my back and a 9-inch slice across my forearm,” said Dennis Keohane, victim.

Keohane showed 7NEWS his stab wounds to his arm and head. Two of the several he sustained after a road rage incident, which ended with an attack.

“I thought they were just punches at first. I didn’t even know that he actually stabbed me or anything, I just thought we just got in a little scuffle and that was gonna be the end of it,” said Keohane.

Each yellow police marker pointed to a blood splatter, and there were more than a dozen on Industrial Avenue in Tewksbury. Police say it started as road rage on 93 North.

“He was riding my bumper and I tapped my brakes. He almost hit me, he followed me. He got out of his car, I left him there, he got out of his car again and threw his cell phone off the side of my car,” said Keohane.

Keohane says he drove off, dropped off his boss at their auto detailing shop down the road, and when he got back up on the street the suspect was waiting for him.

“We came down here and he stopped at the top of roadway. I thought it was all done. Five minutes later Dennis came back with blood all over him and said he's been stabbed,” said Glenn Gullotti, witness.

Gullotti is Keohane’s boss and was in the car with him and can’t believe what happened. As for Keohane, he says he’ll recover and police will find his attacker.

“People saw it. If somebody says something, somebody says something,” said Keohane. “He’ll have his day eventually.”

Police are looking for an older model black Honda Civic that has a possible gold undercarriage.

Officials say if you happened to be on 93 North around 3 p.m. and saw anything, they ask you to please call police.
