Coach, volunteer arrested on child porn charges

WOBURN, Mass. -- A man who has worked with children was in court on Wednesday facing charges of disseminating child pornography, child enticement, and exhibiting a child in a state of nudity.
Raymond Mcallister, 20, is a coach in Woburn, volunteers at St. Mary’s Church bible camp in Winchester, and is a children’s jujitsu instructor.
Police say the victim is a 13-year-old boy in Arizona whom Mcallister was allegedly communicating with by computer in a Skype video chat.
“He admitted that at that time he induced the young boy to disrobe. There were sexually acts that were committed at that point,” said prosecutor Dave Solet.
Police arrested Mcallister on Tuesday night at his parent’s home and confiscated his computer. Mcallister’s father was stunned.
“He’s always been a good kid. He’s got a great heart. To see something like this happen, it’s just terrible,” said Wayne, Mcallister’s father.
“We’re stunned, so, it’s a shock to us. He’s a beautiful young man, but who knows what people’s lives are like,” said Father Richard Messina of St. Mary’s Church.
Father Messina says Mcallister will no longer be a volunteer with the church. The Woburn little league says it is cooperating with the police.
Mcallister is being held on $10,000 cash bail. If he makes bail, he’ll be under 24-hour house arrest with no Internet and no contact with children.
There is no evidence that any local children were involved, but the Middlesex District Attorney is urging anyone to come forward.
