Boston College student missing 5 days
NEWTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- State police joined the search for a missing Newton man, last seen five days ago. Franco Garcia, 21-years-old, is a Boston College student who disappeared on Tuesday following a night out at a bar.
Police said he vanished after making a call near Cleveland Circle.
On Sunday, the state police deployed a helicopter to search near a Newton reservoir and the surrounding area. Officials spent an hour looking for clues into the man’s disappearance but were unable to spot anything significant.
His mother begged for his safe return home.
“We need him to come home. I know my heart tells me he’s okay but he needs to come home. If something happened, please tell me, I need help. Anyone who can help me please, God bless you,” said Luzmila Garcia, Franco’s mother.
Family and friends have been out near Cleveland Circle holding signs to spread awareness about his disappearance.
