BILLERICA, Mass. (WHDH) -- Police in Billerica say they are searching for someone who stole 12 lawnmowers from Habitat for Humanity.
The lawnmowers were taken from a building on Boston Road sometime over the weekend.
Habitat for Humanity officials say it's upsetting because the thieves stole from people in need.
“Which is unfortunate because it takes us -- it’s taking money away from the mission. All the money received here and gained here goes towards building homes in the community,” said Suzanne Marlowe, Habitat for Humanity.
The lawnmowers were taken from a building that plans to offer construction materials and appliances at a large discount for people in need.
