BURLINGTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Police say a woman was stabbed to death inside a Burlington home Thursday evening.
The homicide, according to police, occurred at 23 Forbes Avenue around 6:45 p.m. The victim, identified as 38-year-old Kristen Pulisciano, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors were stunned.
"It's kind of a shock,” Lois Dodge said. “Nothing happens in our neighborhood; it's a very quiet neighborhood."
State police as well as local police remained on scene into the night. Police say they do not believe the stabbing to be random.
Details are limited, but authorities say they are looking for the victim's husband, possibly driving a brown 2010 Honda Civic with license number 581MC8.
Neighbors say a couple with a teenage daughter and son live at the home.
"We've seen them. They used to take care of the yard really nice. Wave on our way out, wave on our way in," Dodge said.
"They kept to themselves all the time. You'd see them drive by and see them drive off again," said Rick Franson, a neighbor. "He used to work for Papa Gino's. That's the last time I saw him -- about a year ago."
The investigation is ongoing. No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.
