CARVER, Mass. (WHDH) -- A Carver family is fed up after thieves broke into their home for the fifth time in two years.

In the most recent break in, surveillance video shows a man creeping around their house after breaking in through a window.

“They took the ladder stuck it to my second-story window we had the alarm down here but took it to the second-story window and came in through to the window,” said the female homeowner.

After he's inside, the man can be seen moving around the kitchen and opening up drawers looking for something. He spends about two minutes in the house, but the family says it doesn't appear that he took anything.

“We built this house thinking we're going to have a safe place to raise a family and it hasn't been,” said the female homeowner.

That's because it is fifth time in two years someone has broken into their Carver home.

“Now every time I hear something, I’m laying in bed and I hear a noise, I picture these guys up the stairs because you can put a face to it,” said the male homeowner.

After the second break in they installed these cameras and have watched three different people steal stuff from their home

“Computers, cameras, the third time they took our safe. Walked right out the door with our safe,” the woman said.

They’ve called the police, each time, who have come out to investigate.

“There’s a lot of crime in this area and they can’t keep up with it,” the woman said.

The family is angry but they vow to stay put.

“We're not moving. We’re doing what we have to do to protect ourselves,” the woman said.

One suspect has been arrested out of the five break ins. Police continue to search for the other suspects.
