GRANBY, Mass. (AP) -- Police say the woman struck and killed while walking along a Massachusetts street last weekend was a Florida resident visiting relatives.
Police identified the woman killed Sunday in the western Massachusetts town of Granby as 61-year-old Faith Schauer-Swift of Maitland, Fla.
Schauer-Swift was walking north along the southbound shoulder of a street at about 3:30 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Belchertown woman.
Schauer-Swift was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death remains under investigation and the driver has not been charged. She stayed at the scene after the impact.
