Police: Man shoots stepson 3 times at Lee home

LEE, Mass. (AP) -- Authorities said a Lee man was arrested after he shot his stepson three times with an assault rifle at their home.
WWLP-TV reported the stepson was taken to Berkshire Medical Center, but there was no word on his condition.
The shooting happened at about 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
State Police Lt. Robert Swift said the suspect suffered a medical episode similar to a seizure after the shooting, and also was taken to the hospital. The man was later taken to the Lee State Police Barracks, where he was being held on suspicion of attempted murder.
No names have been released.
Pittsfield Police Lt. Michael Winston told The Berkshire Eagle that both men lived at the house where the shooting occurred. He said the family dog also was shot and killed.
