Chase ends when driver runs out of gas in NH
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- A New Hampshire man is in jail after a high-speed chase that ended when the man's car ran out of gas.
Officials say the chase began when police attempted to stop a car with a Massachusetts license plate shortly after midnight Sunday in Windham.
The chase wound through Derry and Londonderry, with the driver eventually driving onto Interstate 93 before making his way onto I-293 in Manchester.
State police say that's where the car ran out of gas and came to a stop.
Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Blodgett, of Manchester, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, disobeying a police officer, reckless conduct, operating after suspension and resisting arrest. Officials say a female passenger was also taken into custody.
Bail is set at $5,000.
