PINKHAM NOTCH, N.H (WHDH) -- Three people were rushed to the hospital following an 800-foot avalanche on Mount Washington.
It happened on the Huntington Ravine, on the east side on the mountain, Thursday night.
Originally it was thought to have happened at Tuckerman's Ravine.
Emergency officials have not released the extent of the victims' injuries.
One of the victims is 26-year-old retired Marine Sgt. Keith Zeier.
Sgt. Zeier lost his leg and suffered a brain injury while serving in Iraq seven years ago.
He was climbing the mountain to raise money for the relatives of soldiers killed or wounded while serving overseas.
