Another Plum Island home torn down

PLUM ISLAND, Mass. (WHDH) -- After a difficult battle with Mother Nature, the Plum Island home of Thomas Nee was reduced to rubble.

7News had been watching the Nee's Plum Island home during this winter's storms. From the summer’s hurricane to the 2013 Blizzard, the Nee’s home was battered by wind, rain, snow and devastating high tides. Following February’s blizzard, Thomas Nee installed a $42,000 support system, but Mother Nature proved herself a stronger adversary. The home was left teetering.  

 At around 7:30 on Tuesday morning, demolition of the Nee’s home began.
