Harvard graduate killed in Kenyan terrorist attacks
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WHDH) -- Elif Yavuz was eight months pregnant when she was killed alongside her boyfriend in Saturday's terrorist attack in Nairobi, Kenya.
“The very sad news that Elif and her partner were killed as part of the attack that happened in Nairobi at the shopping mall over the weekend. As has been reported elsewhere they were expecting a baby in a couple of weeks,” said Julie Rafferty, Harvard School of Public Health.
Yavuz earned her doctorate earlier this year from Harvard School of Public Health.
School officials say they are planning a memorial in the coming weeks.
