Students wear pink in honor of murdered teacher
DANVERS, Mass. (WHDH) -- Students at Danvers High School returned two class to days after one of their teachers was murdered on school grounds.
It was mostly surreal for me. It was mostly everyone getting over it,” one student said.
Many students wore pink on Friday, it was Colleen Ritzer’s favorite color before 14-year-old Phillip Chism allegedly killed her.
Chism’s soccer team also took the field for the first time since the murder.
Marblehead’s visiting JV soccer team held a moment of silence before their game.
Sources are saying students were in the school when the murder occurred in a second floor bathroom. Chism reportedly told one student not to go into that bathroom as he walked out.
