Car plows through apt building in Burlington

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- One man was injured after a woman crashed her car through an apartment building in Burlington on Tuesday night.
The woman, who was coming home from shopping, accidentally hit the accelerator while parking, and the front of her car went right through the apartment building on Baron Park Lane.
"Right now it appears that a woman was pulling into the parking lot here, and she lost control of her vehicle temporarily, and crashed into the building," said Sgt. Glen Miles of the Burlington Police Department.
A man was watching television in the apartment when it was hit, and received minor injuries.
"Loud crash, yeah," said Uleymar Maia, the victim's brother-in-law. "I can't tell you if (the injuries are) serious or not. The ambulance came right away, but I'm not sure," said Maia.
Officials pulled the car from the building. A temporary patch was placed over the side of the building while crews worked to repair the damage.
Fire officials said the victim is in stable condition at the hospital.
