Caught on Camera: Man robs NH homes

LONDONDERRY, N.H. –- A burglar broke into one New Hampshire home and tried to break into another on Monday, and fortunately for police, one of the homes caught the crime on camera.
The suspect was caught on a web cam trying to break into a home in Londonderry. The homeowners were watching the video feed remotely from where they worked.
“My first reaction was to call the police ‘cause he hadn’t actually gotten in yet,” said the male homeowner.
They set up their own home video surveillance system after someone broke into their house three years ago.
“We did have someone manage to get into the house, you know, cash and jewelry that type of stuff. So, that prompted us to invest in a relatively inexpensive solution that would provide some peace of mind,” said the female homeowner.
Their system is working well. Just three weeks ago, the cameras caught a different man trying to break in. In that case, police tracked down and arrested the suspect.
On Monday, the suspect was trying hard to break in, but never was able to and drove away.
According to Hudson Police, the suspect then went to a home on Ferry Street, busted out the front bedroom window and got inside.
“I came home. I pulled into the yard. The bedroom window was open. I walked over to see what was going on. Some of my wife’s jewelry was laying on the ground. Knew it wasn’t good and called police,” said the Ferry Street homeowner.
Officers, along with both families, are hoping the video will help catch the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
