Methuen man behind bars after crash on Rte. 213

METHUEN, Mass. -- A Methuen, Mass. man is behind bars Sunday after a car accident sent two people to the hospital on Saturday.

Police say the man was driving drunk on Route 213 last night when he allegedly crashed into another vehicle.

A medical helicopter responded to the incident, which happened at Exit 4 on the eastbound side of the road.

Police say one of the cars rolled over. Crews were working to free a person trapped in that car late Saturday. A stretch of the highway was closed for several hours Saturday night.
