Residents escape flames at Peabody house

PEABODY, Mass. -- Two residents were forced to make a smoky escape after flames broke out at their Peabody home Sunday morning.

The owner of the house on Hamerick Road was taken to Salem Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Damage is estimated at $150,000 dollars.

The fire department continues to investigate the cause.
