AMESBURY, Mass. -- Police said two people were arrested after a series of car break-ins where they took everything from electronics to chocolates.

Police estimate that at least 30 vehicles were broken into on Dec. 23, just two days before Christmas.

Police said the evidence -- GPS units, car chargers, cameras, iPods and credit cards -- totaled thousands of dollars.

Investigators said 18-year-old Jake Pereira and 19-year-old Charles Anderson stole the items.

They said they got caught when a resident noticed some suspicious activity involving a white truck -- which police said the two suspects stole.

Pereira and Anderson are being held on high bail.

Most of the victims have gotten their items back.
