Fire destroys fish farm in NH

NEWBURY, N.H. -- Officials say a three-alarm fire in New Hampshire has destroyed the state's first tilapia fish farm.

Newbury Fire Chief Hank Thomas says firefighters concentrated on saving the house after arriving to discover heavy smoke and flames in the barn on Sunday.

WMUR-TV said firefighters were able to save some animals before the barn's roof collapsed, destroying fish and some animals.

Family friend Al Plass told the TV station that he doesn't expect the owner to give up on raising tilapia. He anticipates that the owner will rebuild.
