65 busted at Hamilton underage drinking party

HAMILTON, Mass. (AP) -- Police in Hamilton say 65 youths have been summoned to court after officers broke up what they described as an underage drinking party in town last weekend.

Hamilton police located the party just before 10 p.m. Saturday after conducting a traffic stop.

Police tell The Salem News they found the youths at the party at Canter Brook Equestrian Center on Highland Street and issued summonses to everyone in attendance for being minors in possession of alcohol.

Everyone at the party was released either to a parent or adult.

Police said the incident is still under investigation, and further charges are pending.
