ROCKPORT, Mass. (WHDH) -- Officials continued their search for a third day to try and find a 2.5-year-old girl who disappeared from a beach in Rockport.

Divers searched the rocky areas in the waters off Rockport all day Saturday, but it ended with no results in their hunt for Caleigh Harrison.

Caleigh was last seen Thursday near a footbridge on Long Beach in Rockport. She was with her mother, 4-year-old sister and dog playing with a ball. The ball bounced over a wall and Caleigh’s mom went to get it. When she turned around, Caleigh was gone.

State police ended their search on Saturday because of the coming rainstorm. They will not resume their search until Tuesday.

Even as police sent divers in the waters for the third straight day, they are not ruling out foul play.

Investigators are looking for any signs of abduction.

Those at the beach Saturday said they can’t imagine what the family has been going through the last two days.

“It’s just a shame that she’s still out there somewhere,” said one man.
