UNH campus alerted after dorm assault

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- The University of New Hampshire police department is investigating a report that a female student was sexually assaulted in her dorm room by a stranger.

The campus community was notified of the Sunday morning assault through an emergency text message.

UNH Police Sgt. Gregory Bisson says the assault occurred at about 4 a.m. Sunday. No arrests have been made.

UNH spokeswoman Erika Mantz says police continue to investigate and they're asking anyone with information about the case to call campus police.

Police have not said whether the victim was injured.
