BOSTON (WHDH) -- A federal judge vacated the death sentence for convicted murderer Gary Sampson Thursday.
The judge overturned the death penalty against Sampson saying he did not get an impartial jury.
Prosecutors still have the chance to appeal.
Sampson pled guilty to killing three men, Philip McCloskey, Jonathan Rizzo and Robert Whitney, during a week-long crime spree in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in 2001.
