ANDOVER, Mass. (WHDH) -- Seniors at Andover High School made a big splash just ahead of graduation.
Andover High students were greeted with a barricade. Thousands of blue and white cups filled with water spelling out “2012” were arranged on the floor. It was a prank courtesy of the graduating seniors.
“We had duct taped all the front doors shut, so the underclassmen had to go around the school to get in and seniors were up on the bridge yelling. Everyone was going nuts, it was really fun,” said Christopher Wolf, a senior.
“A lot of juniors mentioned, ‘Wow, we haven't had this much school spirit in forever," so I think it was really cool how we came together, put on that show that we did and showed that we had school spirit,” said Joseph Kuykendall, a student.
The whole prank was thrown together by dozens of seniors.
“I think the kids are great, because not only did they set up a really nice prank, but they also dismantled it themselves. Which is really sweet,” said John Janetti, a chemistry teacher.
It was a prank that will be long remembered.
“All the teachers were talking they hadn't seen a prank like this in 20 years here, so I think it's going to be a long standing prank at Andover High School,” Sean McCall, a student.
