PINKHAM NOTCH, N.H. (AP) -- A pair of runners from Colorado are the men's and women's winners of the 52nd "Run to the Clouds" event up the Mount Washington Auto Road in new Hampshire.
Saturday morning's race drew hundreds of runners from across New England, the United States and from countries as far away as Kenya.
The men's winner is 26-year-old Sage Canaday of Boulder, Colo., who made the run in 58 minutes, 27 seconds.
For the women, 28-year-old Kim Dobson of Denver covered the 7.6-mile course in 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 21 seconds, successfully defending her titlefrom last year's race.
Officials say the weather was ideal for the race, in which runners climb 4,650 feet to the top of the mountain.
