Vehicle crashed into a house in Pelham, NH

PELHAM, Nh. (WHDH) -- According to the Pelham Police Department, at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night, Pelham Police responded to a reported vehicle collision near 46 Old Gage Road involving a vehicle into a house.
Arriving Police personnel found a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer overturned and against the residence. The vehicle had sustained extensive damage and was on fire. With the assistance of some concerned citizens, officers were able to move the driver away from the vehicle and extinguish the flames.
The operator of the vehicle, Michael Walworth, 27 years of age, Methuen, MA sustained life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by Pelham Fire Personnel before being transported to Massachusetts General Hospital by Med Flight Helicopter.
The collision remains under investigation by members of the Pelham Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
A preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle was traveling on Old Gage Hill Rd when it left the roadway striking a parked vehicle in the driveway before coming to rest against the house.
It appeared that speed and alcohol were factors in the collision.
