Fire breaks out at commercial building in Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. (WHDH) -- A fire broke out at a commercial building in Lowell Monday night.

The fire broke out at P&R Landscaping on Canada Street Monday night. 7News was told no one was working at the time.

Fire crews say the main building on the property is destroyed along with at least one trailer that was parked in front of it. 

The lot was filled with highly flammable materials such as equipment and woods. Firefighters say there may have been propane tanks on the property as well.

Witnesses said they heard an explosion and then saw flames.

No one was injured.

Crews were still on scene Monday night putting out hot spots, but firefighters say it is under control.
