Man appears in court for striking motorcyclist

MELROSE, Mass. (WHDH) -- A 76-year-old man appeared in court, accused of a shocking accident.

Investigators said Eugene Ledonne was driving in Melrose on Sunday when he hit a man on a motorcycle, throwing the rider into the street.

Police accuse Ledonne of driving over the victim repeatedly before taking off.

He’s ordered not to drive and to stay away from the victim.
