MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Gov. John Lynch is speaking at a ceremony in remembrance of the 2001 September terrorist attacks.

Lynch is addressing the Webster School in Manchester on Monday.

Manchester was the scene of another event Sunday. Firefighters from across New Hampshire and Massachusetts took part in the second annual Stair Climb at the Brady Sullivan Tower in an effort to remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The firefighters got into their gear and climbed the stairwell in its entirety 5 1/2 times, which made out to be 110 stories. That was the height of the World Trade Center.

The event honored the 343 firefighters killed during the terrorist attacks. Most of the participants in the event carried their gear, weighing up to 60 pounds.
