Dunkin' Donuts clerk describes encounter with robber

REVERE, Mass. (WHDH) -- The Dunkin’ Donuts clerk who was smashed in the head by a robber spoke out about what happened that day.

"The guy pistol-whipped me a couple times, told me to give him the money, I told him I don't know the safe combination or nothing, he went into the front, came back cause my coworker ran out, came back, hit me again," said the Dunkin’ Donuts employee hit by the robber.

The employee didn't want to show his face on camera.

He said the attack Sunday night left that clerk with some minor injuries and that he's glad the robber only got away with about ninety dollars.
