Man found dead in Revere home

REVERE, Mass. (AP) -- State and local police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man whose body was found in Revere.

Authorities say Richard Pignone was found inside a Rose Street home at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Suffolk District Attorney's office says Revere police and firefighters had gone to the house to check on a smoke alarm that was activated.

No arrests have been announced.
