Coyote attacks, kills one dog, injures another in NH

DERRY, N.H. (WHDH) -- A coyote attack killed a family's dog and injured another leaving people in Derry, New Hampshire concerned.

One woman let her two dogs out over the weekend.

A coyote walked into her yard carrying another animal in its mouth.

She said her dogs were chasing the coyote around the yard when it dropped its food and attacked the dogs.

"I screamed to my husband, “He has Spanky!” And I was running towards the barn, my husband went to get his gun, he was telling me to stop, but I wasn't going to stop I was going to save Spanky,” said Pam Crawford.

The dog that did survive the attack is expected to recover.
