Mass. man dies in motorcycle accident

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) -- A 66-year-old Beverly man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in North Andover.

Police say Carrol Sylvanowicz was pronounced dead at Lawrence General Hospital after the accident, which occurred at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

They say the crash remains under investigation.

A cousin of Sylvanowicz told the Salem News that Sylvanowicz began riding a motorcycle about seven years ago and was active in leisure and charity rides. He said his cousin was a giving person.

He said Sylvanowicz leaves a wife, two sons, a daughter and five grandchildren.
