SALEM, Mass. (WHDH) -- There are concerns that Hurricane Sandy could scare off business for Salem’s annual Halloween celebrations.

No plans have been altered, yet, but people are watching the forecast closely.

“Of course Monday and Tuesday if we do not have a storm,” said Gigi Gill the “Queen of Salem.” She’s a regular at Haunted Happenings and is having a case of déjà vu. “Last year we have a little bit of snow so it was kind of like…are we repeating this again?”

Gigi, like many in Salem, is ready with an umbrella instead of a broomstick.

Some tourists will flee, but plenty of brave souls plan on sticking around for Halloween.
