Lowell teen dies after Lawrence shooting
LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) -- Police say a Lowell teenager shot in the head outside a house party in Lawrence has died.
The victim, 18-year-old Richard Bonilla, was shot at about 1 a.m. Sunday and flown to a Boston hospital, where he died of his injuries at about 4:30 p.m.
Police think Bonilla was shot after a verbal altercation outside the party on Broadway escalated.
A witness told police that the argument started after three young women showed up but were denied access to the party.
A witness told police the shooter was dressed all in black.
There was no immediate word on arrests.
It was the second homicide in the city this year.
