LYNN, Mass. (WHDH) -- A clerk was pistol whipped during a robbery in Lynn Friday night.
Police are searching for three suspects in the robbery, and they hope surveillance video will lead to their arrests.
The brazen crime happened Friday night at the family-run convenience store.
“The video was able to capture the whole robbery from two different angles as well as the lookout suspect who came in to case the place prior to the robbery,” said Lt. Chris Kelly, Lynn Police Department.
Surveillance video shows two of the suspects entering the store. The man in red immediately points a handgun at the clerk's face as his partner goes around the counter.
But the clerk fights back. He rips a mask off of the second suspect and the man in red pistol whips the clerk.
Police have been reviewing the vicious fight caught on tape.
“He said it was so fast how happened. He came in, got attacked right away so he didn’t even thought of the gun,” said the store owner and the victim's brother.
The owner of the store says his night clerk, who had to go the emergency room for a serious cut, is going to be fine.
“He is recovering -- he is doing good. We are lucky he didn't get hurt worse,” said the store owner.
There was a third suspect who was outside during the attack; he was captured on video earlier checking out the store.
If you recognize any of the suspects in the video, call Lynn Police.
