Suspicious substance found in three local towns

METHUEN, Mass. (WHDH) -- A suspicious white powder has been found at a Home Depot in Methuen.

Emergency crews were there investigating.

There was a similar threat in Haverhill.

Police closed a building there because of a suspicious substance. In Lawrence, another substance was found inside a hospice care facility.

Authorities said these three incidents appeared to be connected.
