METHUEN, Mass. (WHDH) -- Ticket sales pushed the estimated Powerball jackpot up to $550 million on Wednesday -- if the winner takes the lump sum they’d walk away with more than $360 million. Any way you slice it, it’s a lot of money.

The chance at being the winner has people all over the country, and New England, lining up to buy tickets.

“This is the largest Powerball jackpot. If it doesn’t get hit tonight I gotta believe it’s going to be the number one jackpot of all time,” said Tony Amico of Ted’s Stateline Mobil.

Ted’s Stateline Mobil in Methuen is the state’s No. 1 lottery dealer. It has sold lots of winning tickets for jackpots over the years.

Of course if you win big, you have to dream big.

The most expensive car for sale north of Boston is a Mercedes-Benz SLS -- it’ll cost you $219,000.

For Red Sox players, winning the World Series might be the only feeling that will top winning Wednesday’s jackpot.

Two Red Sox pitchers told 7News they won’t be sliding out of town if they strike it rich.

“I definitely wouldn’t quit my job. I don’t know what I would do -- it would probably involve a boat in the off season,” said Chris Carpenter, a Sox pitcher.

You can find out the winning Powerball numbers Wednesday night on 7News at 11 p.m. Good luck!
