DEERFIELD, N.H. (AP) -- Police said an officer escaped serious injury after shots were fired during a struggle with a man at a home in Deerfield, N.H.

The officer responded to the home early Wednesday following a 911 hang-up call.

Police told WMUR-TV a man met the officer at the door, denied there was a 911 call, and then got into a struggle with the officer. At that point, someone else fired two shots. No one was hit by the bullets.

The officer broke away from the man and saw a woman with the gun. He told her to drop the gun, and she did so.

Police said the man was arrested on charges of assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and the woman was arrested on a reckless conduct charge.
