Arrest made in year-old Lawrence slaying

LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) -- Police have made an arrest in the year-old slaying of a Fairhaven man outside a food truck in Lawrence.

Police on Sunday arrested 27-year-old Josue Diaz of Lawrence in connection with the slaying of Johan Miranda in the early morning hours of Dec. 31.

Prosecutors say Diaz is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a murder charge. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.

The 29-year-old Miranda was visiting relatives when he was shot following some sort of argument outside a food truck parked near the city common.

Miranda had stopped for something to eat after visiting some city clubs.

Police did not immediately say what led to Diaz's arrest, but they had previously released surveillance video from the area on the night of the shooting.
