Tree worker falls to death in Mass.

HAVERHILL, Mass. (AP) -- Officials are investigating the death of a worker who fell from a tree in Haverhill.

A spokeswoman for the Essex District Attorney's office said the man, an employee of a tree removal company, was killed on Monday when he fell to the ground and a large branch landed on him.

The victim was a resident Hampton, N.H., but his name was not immediately released.

Witnesses told the Eagle Tribune that the large tree had been damaged in a recent storm and was being removed.
